The Kushta James guest house is situated in the heart of Shiroka Laka. The village is a beautiful “living museum” where life is dominated by the rhythm of the seasons.

The guest house is situated in the old part of the village. It is a historically important building.

The interior has been completely renovated by traditional Rhodope carpenters and stonemasons and is the last word in modern convenience while retaining the original beautiful wood ceilings floors and magnificent stonework.

There are no fences in the surrounding mountains which makes it a hiker’s paradise.

The area is crime free.

We specialise in affordable 4x4 day trips to the top of the Rhodopes with all drinks and a lunchtime barbeque included.
